Disney World Toddler Edition: Trains, Cars, and Transportation.

Flying Elephants? Magic Carpet Rides in Agrabah? Honey Pot adventures with Pooh? Your train-loving toddler says, “Forget it”.

If it’s not giving chugging (a-la-kids style), they want nothing to do with it. Lucky for them, Walt Disney was a railfan, and Imagineers have kept trains in Walt Disney World offerings ever since. Here’s your brief guide to Trains, Cars, and General Transportation for your hard-to-impress toddler and preschooler.

*All attractions included are toddler-friendly, so you will not see high-thrill rides or rides with height requirements like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad or Expedition Everest or even Test Track included on this list.*

Other on-site & free transportation: I know some may say that the on-site/free transportation shouldn’t be considered attractions. I understand where the logic comes from; however, my toddler would love to inform you that the monorail is, in fact, a ride. This is the hill he will die on, and I will not fight him.

Monorail: Located in the Seven Seas Lagoon and to/from Epcot to the Magic Kingdom Parking lot.
Skyliner: Located at various Disney Epcot-designated property resorts.
Friendship Boats: Located at various Disney property resorts and Disney Springs
Disney Buses: Located at Disney Springs, all Disney Resorts, and Disney theme parks.

Honorable Mention:
Parking Lot Trams: Located in all Disney Theme Park parking lots.

This is just a small offering of what Walt Disney World has to offer for your toddler and preschool-aged children. While the big name thrill rides often take the attention of older children, teens, and adults, there is plenty to do to keep all members of the family happy and engaged throughout the day.
